^this is useful but doesn't go into much detail.

The trick is to use:

1- A straight or pivot table chart

2- Different display options for expressions (using IF's as well)

3- Make use of the builtin images

Please see the attached for a very basic example and I have thrown it up on my blog with some more screenshots
