how to refer to a cell of itself in the p-table or textbox

when I try to define the backgroup-color with formula which base the cell's value

I have to re-write the formula of the value again into the backgroup-color formula box

but how can i refer to the cell of itself  or get the value of it? just as I can use column(index) to refer to other column.

You can't. You have to use the expression or the column index.

Qlikview is not a spreadsheet application. Perhaps you're using the wrong application.

Hi,

you could define a variable containing your expression and use this variable in both your expression as well as your background color expression boxes.

This way you only have to define the expression once.

Just to add, I hope you are aware of Copy and Paste of the color expression using right click of your mouse.
