how to refresh a qvd file weekly automatically?

I want to refresh a qvd every week so that i dont have to refresh it manually every week.What could be the solution

Hi,

do you use Qlikview server ? with publisher maybe ?

If it is on Server, then you can set the same in QMC.

If you want to achieve the same on Desktop, you can run a macro.

Use Windows Task Scheduler to open, reload, and close your QVD Generator.

can someone guide me about the steps how to do it with macros? Like

1.writing a macro

2.writing a batch file

3.and then what??

Hi Trishita

You can use the following steps:

1. Create a batch file to reload your QVW from certain location.

2. Use Windows Task Scheduler to run it on specific time (daily or weekly).

Please refer to the attached batch file for reference.

Please note that if you have a Publisher on your server, you can schedule it on your server.
