Hi Community,
PFA,
i have a requirement,
in my tables these are my common field
BRANCH, SERVICE_CENTER and SAMPLE_MONTH
how to create linktable.
Thanks in Advance
Community might not be right place to have a look at your data model and correct it in entirety. Still, here is something I found (not sure if right wrt your requirement) that you can try with. If all BRANCH, SERVICE_CENTER and SAMPLE_MONTH and FILE_NO are common across tables, simply load them concatenat. For rest of your model, I see FILE_NO is the KEY, therefore the model would be ready with the common link key FILE_NO.
You cannot use the same common fields in more than two tables to create a model because Synthetic key will happen. but you can make different key fields by combining different fields and these fields should be common in names with the link table to create a star schema model. For example, in the first table use Sample_Month as the key. In the second table use Service_center, in the third table use Branch, and in the fourth table use combined key Branch & Service_Center Etc.
I hope this helps.
