loading 1 cell value

HI All,

i have a value in file.XLSM  in one cell

for eg cell C2 has a value of 10

i need to load value 10 in my script and store in a variable called test

please advise if possible

Sounds like a very specific question, for a broader problem...

What exactly is your problem? I think you can just load the value of cell2 into qlikview (or is that already the problem)?

When done, you can store it in a variable with this code:

let test=peek(Fieldname [ , Row [ , TableName ] ] )

the problem is the sheet present in file.xlsm contains lot of other information which is not relevant

thus is there a way to load a specific cell from a sheet.

I just tested. It is no problem. Just load your data from excel using the wizard in the loadscript for loading the first table. Usw rowno() for determining which row you need and then you have your data.

This is the script i used.
