Its cool guys , in Qlikview 12 , when i suppose to load a table by Table file option ,you should not selectRelative path option, if you select then that error will come, i got clear it myself..thanks for your response.

You are right, the error is thrown with Relative path option. But AFAIK it wasn't there in QV11. Also avoiding Relative Path may have solved your problem but it is important to use Relative path to avoid manual changes in file path in scripts when QVWs need to be transferred to another locations.

For me, Once I save my new QVW file, after that relative path works when table files option is used.

Hi, I have a problem, I downloaded Qlikview desktop a week ago, I was making some test apps, but today when I tried to open any of my files I receive the error: "the file contains inconsistencies and cannot be opened with personal edition" what should I do? when I load my data, I selected relative paths, but the project file and the data files were not moved.

is there any solution?

thanks!

Hi,

Relative paths by itself isn't the whole issue. Specifically, the issue is if you have Relative Paths checked, AND the file is on a different drive from the QlikView document.

That is, if Relative Paths is checked, I have a document in C:\Docs, a data file in E:\Data, and I use the Table Files wizard to locate the file, then QlikView 12 searches a relative path that it can't resolve.

QlikView 11 uses an absolute path when searching for files on a different drive, even if Relative Paths is set.
