Too bad you never got an answer to this. The QVW icons for QlikView 12 are even worse. The icon is mostly white with a tiny dot of green in the middle. Try pick out the QVWs from the log files and Shared files when they all have the same name and look almost identical.

If you don't like the icons displayed, it's easy enough to change them.

How to Customize Any Icon in Windows

Scroll down to the end of the article for instructions on using filetypesman to change file icons.  For example, I changed mine to look like this:

Or, if you are comfortable using regedit, go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, scroll down to QlikView.Document, right-click the value in the right pane and click Modify. Change C:\PROGRA~1\QlikView\Qv.exe,1 to C:\PROGRA~1\QlikView\Qv.exe,6

This also changes to the same icon as suggested by Rob

I like FileTypesMan - works well. Unfortunately, something keeps resetting my Default Icon from "C:\PROGRA~1\QlikView\Qv.exe,6" to "C:\PROGRA~1\QlikView\Qv.exe,1" every time the server is re-booted. I may just have to live with it since I can't find any setting to stop this from happening.
