section access where data is limited on one sheet and not another

Hi,

I've limited data in my application with section access. The user that access the application can only see data from their hometown. but. at one sheet the user is allowed to see data from another town as well. how is this accomplished?

Hi, are you just using section access on the first sheet as a way to filter to the users hometown? if that is the case why bother with section access why not just load a regular table with the users and there hometown and use set anaysis?

if you did want to use section access the only way i could think you could do this neatly is to have two copies of the tables with all the required fields then you can independantly control section access and use the different fields where required?

Thanks

Steve

The second alternative sound like the best in this case. But wouldn't that give me duplicates of data for people who can see all the different towns? Or more than one too for that matter?

I have another problem. The field hometown that i need to duplicate needs to be affected by the same dimensions that the "regular" hometown filed.

if i make duplicates of all the fileds neccessary i will have duplicates of filter aswell.

Or am i making it more complicated than it is?
