Hi Sowmya,

We can do Sorting in Pivot table only based on the dimensions. It can be done only through chart properties. Go to chart properties and select Sort window there you can mention your sorting order. Note that, you can not do interactive sort in pivot table.

Sorting of two Dimension at same time not possible as of now. And logically as well how can you sort two dimension??

You can sort only one dimension..

If you want w.r.t a dimension, promote the required dimension and under Sort tab, do whatever you want to do.

Of course you can sort on two or more dimensions. The limitation on the pivot tables is that the order of the sort is determined by the order of the dimensions. First the outermost (top most) dimension is sorted, then the next dimension and so on. Each dimension can be sorted in a different way (numeric / alpha / ascending / descending / expression).

In straight tables, the sort order of the dimension can be mixed in any way you like, or even be interactive, so the user can sort dynamically according to their requirements.
