superseeding new excel table

Hi Folks,

I would like to ask for best practice to following Problem:

I read a Excel file via script into my qvw, a Excel file which Comes fresh as a new file each monday.

Should I Change the document Name in the script every new monday?

Should I copy paste the new data into a 'Master - xlsx'?

Any other Suggestion??

Hi Wolfgang,

As you have suggested, I would create a master excel file that you just copy and paste the new data. This is only viable if you do not know if the colums will be changed or not. If the only change to the file would be new data/appended data, then I would suggest that you read the Excel file the way you are doing now and probably add a where clause to your script so that only the latest data is loaded to avoid duplicates

If you don't need the 'old' data then simply load that fresh excel file every day.
