Hello Kingshuk,

There are some steps in the Release Notes document you have to follow when updateing from versions older than 9 SR5. Check your download page for this file.

Apart from the information given in the Reference Manual, 3.2 Upgrading QlikView Server youshould:1. Stop the QV services from the windows services manager.2. If your operating system is Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 navigate toC:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Publisher, otherwise navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\AllUsers\Application Data\QlikTech\Publisher. This will be your base for performing the step bystep guide and the folders mentioned here will be here.3. Make a backup copy of the folder Qlikview Distribution Service4. Uninstall present QlikView Server via Control Panel Add/Remove programs.5. Remove the QlikView Distribution Service Folder from the folder mentioned in point 2.6. Install QlikView Server 9.00 SR6 and start the QV services.7. Stop the QlikView Distribution Service from Windows Services manager.8. Open the file StandardScheduleListClustered.xml located in your backup copy of the folderQlikview Distribution Service your previously made and checks that it contains all the expectedscheduled tasks. If the StandardScheduleListClustered.xml file is corrupt then you unfortunatelyneed to reschedule all your tasks.9.If the file looks OK copy the file into the folder Qlikview Distribution Service (this folder wascreated when you started the Qlikview Distribution Service in step 5.)10. Start the QlikView Distribution Service from the Windows Services manager.11. Go to QlikView Management Console or QlikView Enterprise Management Console andyour existing tasks. Mark one of the task and simply press apply. This will create a newworkorder.xml file generated from the StandardScheduleListClustered.xml you just copied.

Regards.

The upgrade should respect all past configurations, but I've seen a few posts about lost scheduled reloads if you are scheduling your reloads on the QlikView Server.

Just in case, I would backup the QlikTech folder in the C:/Program Data folder (or C:/Documents and Settings/All Users) which contains an XML file with those reloads and other configurations you might lose.

Recently I hace upgraded my server QlikView from 9sr3 9sr6. I do not need to do certain steps, eg, 3, 8,9,10,11 as mentioned in your answer. In Fact I can not find the file StandardScheduleListClustered.xml in the C: \ Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Application Data \ QlikTech \ Publisher.

I do not know if this is due that my repository is on a sql server and not on xml repository.
do you know why

Hello,

My guess is that you don't have a Publisher installation, or scheduled tasks, so those files and folders don't exist in your system. Is that possible?

Hope that helps.

there are only Qlikview server was installed. I think after the V9 The QlikView Server installation program installs QlikView Server and QlikView Publisher.

It does, but you need a different license to get it work, so if the service is not working apart for the server license, you're likely not to have those folders, so your upgrade is correct.
