Hi Techies,
I have below requirement regarding Drill down Group.
I have 4 dimensions as shown in below table.
Area | Company | Region | Branch |
---|---|---|---|
R01 | Atum(00470) | Bergen | Bergen |
R01 | Atum(00470) | Bodo | Bodo |
R01 | Atum(00470) | Hamer | Hamer |
R01 | Atum(00470) | Harstad | Harstad |
R01 | Atum(00470) | Larvik | Larvik |
R01 | Atum(00470) | Moss | Moss |
R01 | Atum(00470) | Oslo | Oslo |
R01 | Atum(00470) | Staranger | Staranger |
The expression is: sum({<[CATEGORYCODE]={'TR'}>[Amount]})
---> Area and Company has only one value
---> Region and Branch has similar values
I tried to create a drill down group on bar chart with the order as Area,Company,Region,Branch.
But the chart is showing Region at first level and next Branch. I am unable to display Are and Company.
Can anybody help me regarding this issue?
Thanks,
Rajasekhar
As I recall, this is simply QlikView behavior. If there is only a single value for one of the fields in the drill down, it drills down further. What information is there to be gained, after all, by looking at the exact same number again? To actually drill down usefully, it has to take you to where there are multiple values again.
It seems you want to make the users go through additional clicks to get to the same information. What would be the purpose of that?
Hi John,
Thanks for reply.
I agree with what you saying. But the requirement is to drill down from Area-->Company-->Region-->Branch.
In the future the different values will be populated for 'Area' and 'Company. But as of now they are having only one value.
Is there any way to get rid of this issue.?
Thanks,
Rajasekhar
Looks like stalwar1's answer would help.
