Qlik view Data extraction -Oracle driver vrsion supported for Data extraction

Hi Qlik Support Team,

Greetings of the day!

We are using Qlikview for dashboards. Current version we use is April2019 SR1  with version 12.40.20100.0.

For one of the Dashboard the Application source Data team moved to Oracle 19C.  Our current Oracle ODBC version used " Oracle in OraClient11h_home1 version 11.02.00.01"  is unable to connect.

We would like to know the oracle driver version that is compatible to connect oracle 19C databases

Let me know for any more details. Thanks!

Hi @43996467,

Have a look at Qlik Support article Supported Oracle database versions for QlikView and Qlik Sense and how to connect to different versi.... For QlikView April 2019, the supported versions using the Qlik ODBC connector are Oracle 12c and 11.2. You should be able to use an Oracle driver instead of the Qlik ODBC connector as a work around.

Hello ,

1. Below is a link on what version of Oracle DB are supported.

2. Qlikview uses what ever driver you have installed and the credential you provide.

3. If you enable debug logging for the driver perhaps that will give you and idea of what the issue is.

We too are on the same QlikView version, but updated the Oracle connector to v14 a few years ago. We use OLEDB rather than ODBC and have not had any issues. Our Oracle database version is still 12c though.
