Hi @jayantk,

Is your question about Qlik Sense? If so, I can move your thread to the Qlik Sense > Deployment & Management forum so that it reaches its intended audience.  Are you asking why there are different idle timeout sessions? How have you determined the differing session timeouts of your users?

Refer to Qlik Support article Qlik Sense Session Inactivity Timeout and Keep Alive settings for how these settings are configured.

Hi,

Numerous items can affect the session time out.  From the session cookie to settings in IIS. This article explains so areas to look at.

Another place to look is the session log.  If you see "Socket closed by client" that names the QlikView server didn't. If you see "Session expired after idle time" then the QlikView server did it.

Hi @jayantk,

Please clarify your issue a bit more. I assume you are asking about the Max Inactive Session Timeout: This the maximum idle time a user is allowed before the QVS ends the user session, set 1800 seconds? What do you have configured in the QMC > System > Setup > QVS@ > Performance tab? How are you determining that inactive session timeout is actually 40+ minutes?
