I am working on a chart
dimension1 | dimension2 | Expression1 |
A | Jan10 | 10 |
A | Feb10 | 12 |
A | Mar10 | 14 |
A | Apr10 | 10 |
A | May10 | 12 |
A | Jun10 | 14 |
B | Jan10 | 21 |
B | Feb10 | 9 |
B | Mar10 | 16 |
B | Apr10 | 10 |
B | May10 | 12 |
B | Jun10 | 14 |
My expression is dependent on the order by which dimension1 & dimension2 are displayed.
Keeping above table, column orders as shown above, when I create a graph, on x axis I get dimension1 (values - A,B)
& dimension2 on y axis.
I need to display dimension2 on x axis & dimension1 on y axis.
It should display 2 series lines for A & B.
Create a line chart.
dimension2 is the first dimension; dimension1 the second.
Alex
Thanks Alex for your reply.
But this does not help me.
I can not change the sequence of dimensions, because if I do, the values in the expression column change to invalid values.
It is becuase of the expression has used cumulative aadition.
Attaching herewith sample data which may help explain my issue.
Your help further will be much appreciatiated. Thanks again.
Thanks Alex.
Anybody who knows how to do this? Please reply.
Can you send me the expression that you are using for calculation. Because as per my knowledge datavalue can not be change if we promote or demote any dimension.
The expression is too complex and uses many other fields from database.
But to generate cumulative attrition, we are using above() function, which makes it sequence dependent.
above() function copies value from the cell just above current cell & works with it.
i think we need to find alternative to above() function so as to make whole data independent of sequence.
