Adding google map extension, qlikview goes not responding

Hi,

I am trying to add google map extension downloaded from community into QlikView, but the qlikview desktop goes not responding and shows a pop saying qlikview has stopped responding, close the qlikview.

What is the issue which i am facing.

Can someone please help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, so take a look at the 'console' in F12, that is where any errors should show up with the extension code etc

If you have any issues then let me know what browser you are using and I can point you in the right direction

I am using internet explorer 11 browser and the extension object itself is not visible in the accesspoint.

It shows a blank sheet in the browser.

Ok, has the extension been installed on the server?

If so then hit F12 before you load up the application, then you will be logging.

You should see any issues in the 'console tab'

You might get a bunch of issues with the access point code (As below) but you can just hit the play button to skip through them.

Given the fact that I could open your file OK i am really thinking that there is some sort of network issue you're hitting for some reason

Yes, the extension is installed in the server.

I am actually developing the map in the server machine.

Do i need to reload the qvw file while publishing the file to the server or just the distribute is enought to make map to work in accesspoint?

Because the desktop qvw file shows 2 charts extension added, but the file in accesspoint shows a blank sheet.

Just distributing it should be fine

Not seeing the extension at all though would suggest that the server can't see the extension, it is definitely installed to the server folders as well as the desktop one?

Are you logged on to the server? if so open up IE and try this link:

https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js

I have installed the extension in the desktop in the remote machine (Dev server).

So is there any other place that we need to install the extension in the server?

I tried opening that link in the server machine, but it is not opening it.

it shows internet explorer cannot display the webpage error.

Ok so yes you have two problems now!

1- It looks like your network is blocking the extension so it can't load, there are some other google urls in the extension as well so maybe allow all google through the firewall or something

2- you do need to install to a separate location for the server.

I have my extensions folder mapped to a simple one (See below screenshot) but the default location is discussed here:

How to add extensions on qlikview server?
