Tables

Hi all,

How does it come Qlikview refreshes all my tables/charts etc when I make a selection in one of my tables.

Like when I go from Divsion -> Weeks in a pivot table it starts reloading my other charts/tables.

Why does Qlikview do this and is it possible to de-activate this?

kind regards,

Vincent

Hi,

This is because of the default qlikview behavior.

Loading/reloading or calculating time depends on the type of calculations you have in your front end.

Try to avoid using distinct counts/sum

hope it helped.

This is the very core of QlikView: Every time you make a selection, QlikView re-calculates everything. And that is the purpose of making selections. It does not help to use Count(distinct ...).

If you want to other charts was not get updated then go to chart properties and select Read only check box under general tab.

I know it recalculates when i make a selection but im just down drilling in a pivot table.

Example:

Divsion X i press the + icon so it will open weeks.

WIthout selecting weeks or divsion Qlikview still starts recalculating. Same then when I did not select anything for a min and then click an other tab or the same I open ( + ) it starts reloading all my tables.
