All,
I am using QlikAlerting.
The test email to my Inbox works fine with the following message.
This message confirms that you have successfully setup your email server connection from Qlik Alerting™.
I configured an system task alert upon failure of reload task. I configured to use my email ID as recipients.
But even though the task fails, my email don't receive any alerts.
Does any one faced this issue before?
Thanks
Hello,
When I set up alerts in the past, and they didn't come through, it was my Mail Provider causing the issue. This could be that the Service account (which ever account you are using to send the mail), doesn't have access to send mail in the Mail Provider.
Here is an article that explains the issue in greater detail. Hopefully this will help -

Thanks for the response.
The server where the qlik alerting is installed is able to send the email. This I confirmed when I tested from the Channel using the service acct.
So I think that the mail provider is not causing any issues.
Thanks
Hello again,
Thank you for the reply, I still think it could be permissions, but maybe not. Here is a link you may find helpful:
ref: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-Sense-Documents/Email-Alert-for-Qlik-Sense-task-failed-Very-...
Here are some quick highlights, please search the article to view more details. :
1. The Qlik Web Connectors should be available at http: //localhost:5555/
2. Create new connection in every Qlik Sense environment not the nodes 3. In the article they highlight this
3. prerequisite: Prerequisites: Anonymous authentication to the <Company> SMTP relay has been opened.
4. Can you confirm you created a task with dependency: Create task for "QSAppName_Failure_Notification.qvf" on dependency of failure to "QSAppName.qvf"
based on your description, I think that either item 3 or item 4 there are causing your hangup. Again I wish you luck -
