Tabular reporting - date and number formatting

I have created an on-demand report in tabular reporting in Excel that is exported to pdf.
I have tried to change the number and date format (region dependent formatting) by changing the preferred language under Profile settings (as specified in the documentation), but it does not change the output.

Any guesses what could be wrong?

Hello @lisaedespong

The Office Add-ins (tabular reporting add in) follows Qlik Cloud Services, which in turn, detects your defined or default browser content language settings or your administrator-configured IdP settings,

Then, the Office Add-in uses the preferred detected content language of the browser (or your administrator-configured IdP settings) to set the locale to use on each preview. If a supported language is not used, it reverts to English.

See link below to configure browser language settings

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/UserInterface/Languages....

Qlik Cloud is available in the following languages:

  • English
  • German
  • Spanish
  • French
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Dutch
  • Brazilian Portuguese
  • Russian
  • Swedish
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Polish
  • Turkish
  • Korean
  • Traditional Chinese

In fact, if you use a supported browser language (for example in Chrome, go to chrome://settings/languages) and refresh the Excel page you should see the Excel interface in your selected browser language, the Office Add-in interface in the supported language as well should be seen in the PDF preview.

This is currently the default Qlik Cloud behavior. If this does not meet with your requirement, you may wish to submit a feature request here.

If you experiences further issues, please do start a support case but do ensure to update your browser language settings as described above, keeping in mind the supported languages requirement.

The language in my browser is Swedish (which I want the format to be as well).
I use Excel Desktop to create my tabular report template and when I preview the report, it looks just like I want it to.
But when I publish the report (upload the template to the app) and use the On-Demand feature to create a PDF-report in the applikation the result is in Engligh format. Despite both my prefered language in my Qlik Cloud profile beeing Swedish and the chrome language set to Swedish.
If I create an Excel report with On-Demand the result is using Swedish format.
