Issues with user access 30 jan 2024

We experienced some issues with Qlik. All our end (basis) users were suddenly changed to Full users. And since we only have a limited number of full users, a lot of them were suddenly blocked from access to Qlik.

Can you please have a check what caused this change in the settings and how we can prevent it from happening again?

[we moved to a capacity model the 8th of Jan 2024, then assigned all needed full users without any issues until this week]

Hello @Anil_Babu_Samineni , @Hanne

I've found the cause of the issue.

On January 30th, there was a release of 2 new user roles to access AutoML.

The Auto assign setting for these user roles is automatically set to 'Anyone within the company' in stead of 'Off'. All of our basic users got this role automatically and thus were transferred to a full user license, which is definitely a bug, and not what you need at that point.

@Hanne I have few suggestions to look,

1. Please check UDC if something got changed from LDAP query (Both in Qlik and also in the IDP backend)

2. Make sure there are no modification in your Metadata in Virtual proxy with claim attributes.

@Ries Thanks for the information, please go to Qlik via support portal and raise to get more clarification. If you found answer your self, you can mark that is completed by self.
