Hello team,
I need your advice on the Qlik administration part, specifically regarding licenses.
For Qlik Sense: We have approximately 8000 licenses available. When we grant access to individual user IDs, the total count decreases. However, when adding an AD group, no licenses are deducted. Any insights on why this is happening?
For QlikView: We use Named CALs, totaling around 750 licenses. When we add individual user IDs, the total count decreases, but the same doesn't happen when adding an AD group.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Regards,
Ricky K
To allocate a single license, go to the QMC and select the License Management section. Depending on the level of capability required, select Professional Allocations or Analyzer Allocations.
@RickyK This is more how the filter applied for your UDC? Can you check from there?
Hi @Anil_Babu_Samineni & @essentialshoodie @Thank you for your response. I have a follow-up question. The scenario is, there are 8000 unallocated licenses, and when a new user clicks on the Hub link, a license is automatically allocated, resulting in a decrease in the available count. However, the values don't align when compared with the actual user count
- Unallocated licenses: 8000
- Allocated licenses: 1450
- Available licenses: 1860
These numbers don't match up. Could you please provide guidance on this discrepancy?
Regards,
RickyK
