Allow option to disable log encryption in Qlik replicate - Give customer the choice

With the new release of Qlik replicate, the logs are encrypted. There is no option to disable log encryption.

As such it is very difficult to read the logs and encryption makes it even harder to troubleshoot. Specially if you have lot of log files to look at, manually decrypting them one by one is not pratical.

Customer should be given a choice to either disable the encryption temporarily or permanently so whenever we have an issue we can focus more on troubleshooting the issue then trying to decrypt the log.

Decryption of log is even available from GUI so someone has to manually go to command line to decrypt.

Are you aware we provide a method to decrypt at a folder level?

Hi @SanjeevJain ,

The log encryption has been introduced to comply with industry security standards.

The link below  provides extensive information about the mechanics of log decryption with Qlik Replicate.

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2022/Content/Replicate/Main/Security/log_encryption.htm

If its necessary to streamline this process, automation could be considered.

Best regards,

Thank you for reviewing the request. I understand we can decrypt from command line but when we have an issue and have to look at multiple logs, it can be very laborious to manually decrypt the logs.

What we would like is a feature to temporary turn off encryption from the UI it self , so we can see the unencrypted logs and find the problem and then we can put the encryption  back on.
