Avoiding any issues with it by setting everything to text is IMO not really a solution else I suggest to implement granular customizable settings at least at document level but better on a dimension/expression level - maybe additionally to the settings within the tab Numbers.
Further a detailed documentation not only to the settings itself else also about the technically background and potentially conflicts in regard to the Excel releases, used platforms, regional settings and so on would be very useful - because a valid problem-solution might not only be approached from the Qlik side else also from the target-environment.
Agreed. At least give an option that allow us to choose whether export as per default behavior or the mixed format. Ideal solution would be WYSIWYG during export, so the exported result would be same as whatever displayed in QV. (but maybe difficult to implement)
