As a user I want to have a better control over the objects on the sheet that is provided by Narrow Grid spacing (as opposite to the now-default Wide).

Making Narrow option the default one will save time app creators that have to change it every time they add new sheet.

Thanks for raising this, I prefer narrow spacing and that needs manual change every time for a new sheet.
