The Qlik Sense selection bar is in a fixed location and is ideal in a desktop or mobile environment but not in a command centre, where large - 55in Touch screens are being used.
We have recently deployed a suite of focus boards for the IOC (Integrated Operation Centre) in Tasmanian Health. A key driver for data literacy is upfront interaction sessions during patient flow meetings and escalation. Clinicians are encouraged to step up to the screens and add - remove filters to visually describe their clinical models. Ceiling height is a standard and screens sit 2 vertical and 4 horizontal. Unfortunately the selection bar on the top screens is at a height that most nurses cannot reach or have to stand on tiptoes. We have thought of adding a step, this has raised health and safety concerns (fall). Can you please provide an alternative?
As a workaround could you have the large main screen, but also position a smaller touchscreen on a pedestal adjacent to it on a mini-stand. When you open QS app sheets on separate devices the selections are automatically sync'd. Alternatively utilise an iPad ?
But a moveable selections bar would still be a great feature !
SIMON (Statewide Information Management Operational Node) displays 6 focus boards, the design is clinical - patient flow (image attached) Patient arrives by Ambulance - Emergency - Critical - Occupancy - Emergency Theatre. When positioning the boards we are mindful to keep them in this order. As well, we want SIMON on the top row, this allows for staff at the back of the room to see the boards. We also have to consider that there are a couple of other boards that require space. Ambulance Ramp - (live feed).
