Today support for image rendering in Tables, Pivot tables or KPI is handled through third party extensions from Qlik Garden. This unfortunately puts the user in a bind because its a third party extension that has the possibility of becoming inoperable during upgrades or system changes. This also gives us very little control on how to display images
As a developer, we store our image URLs for use in our other BI platforms so being able to pass the value into the application for rendering would align us with our existing toolset. This would help align our application set between our Enterprise and SaaS environments as the extensions we use might not be fully compatible. The option to select image as a data type and format size would help us with our more visually stunning applications as we rollout further.
