New functions : isdate, istimestamp

Hello,

As of today, the functions istext and isnum exists. However, isnum is true for the date and timestamp fields, which does not seem that natural.

So, I suggest two new functions (or at least one) : isdate and istimestamp.

Best regards,

Simon

@Patric_NordstromThanks for the answer. However, from what I understand, makedate is used to test if a value can be converted to date. I want to test if my field is a date. This is very different.

My use case is that I have an ETL logic that works in delta. If the delta field is a num or a text, it's cool, the clause just use the value. However, if it's a date, I have to cast it. So, I want something that allow me to say "hey, this field is a date".

Best regards,

Simon
