Hi Techies, There are lot of updates in the qlik sense server (i.e. Charts, Data management, etc.,). But, I really felt very bad about the PIVOT TABLE. Every clients needs pivot table total to be placed below the rows. Why don't we have any changes in the pivot table row total (Above & Below option) and for column totals (Right & Left).. ?? This will be a great advantage if we have this option too.. 🙂 Thanks.
After 3 (THREE!!) years there's still no option to choose it To have it you have to do workaround through the calculated dimensions or buy the VizLib extensions
Also, there's a third option - use the PowerBI and check if it matches most of the same needs that you got I've sent them couple of tweaks and ALL of them have been implemented - please check their monthly updates
I've been a promoter of the Qlik products for years - but after leaving the QlikView by Qlik I cannot agree that QS > PBI...
QS got only couple tweaks for 2-4 years, when PBI has been changed dramatically
Obviously, this thread and the comments and likes, but I am thinking a lot of these ideas get lost in the multitude of ideas.
There are likely a lot of 'quality of life' ideas in the same boat that although they may seem small to some, would be absolutely welcome if implemented.
Just as the others have mentioned here, it's amazing that this idea has not been implemented yet. We have so many clients moving from QV to QS (and now SaaS), but every single migration i've come across, the pivot table is always the sticking point. Qlik Sense pivot table is simply not very good and lack of this simple functionality doesn't help. We have to go through so many hoops and workarounds to make a simple thing work.
Hoping to add more visibility to this idea and a general improvement of pivot tables in qlik sense. It's long overdue.
possibility to adjust width of measures / columns (like in straight table)
possibility to expand or collaps just next level (only ALL is currently available which can create quite a mess with more than 4 dimensions)
option to fit columns to data - when the object is placed on the whole page but the pivot is collapsed to highest level with just one measure, then dimension text is on the left and measure value is on far right, which makes the whole thing unreadable
option to set the line height of a row
Partner view - definitely a real blocker of migration from QlikView to Sense.
Add me to the list of wanting this. This will probably be another instance where I head back to my CIO and say "Yah, this isn't available in Qliksense but was likely an easy function in Qlikview'.
