Qlik Data Transfer (QDT) edit script for QVD table generation

Once a data connection has been created it is configured with the fields and tables to be transferred if you need to modify it to add or remove a single field or a single table you have to completely reconfigure the entire connection by selecting again all the fields and all the tables. If it were possible to edit and modify the script using the character * this would simplify and speed up the maintenance of existing connections. (ok for limited script command support as currently is done; such as creating QVDs only). As an alternative to editing the script, a wizard would be enough to show the tables and fields already selected in order to modify an existing connection without having to completely redo it. Please try to imagine what it means to redo a connection of dozens of tables and hundreds of fields, perhaps to add a single field of a single table.

Hi

More enterprise and seamless scripting options (as it uses the full DLE) are available with the Data Gateway Direct Access tool so we recommend this for on prem data access use cases

Thanks

Ian
