Qlik Enterprise Manager API - export task with tags
As a system engineer I would to automatize developers task promotion from test, pre-production and production environments.
So, currently I must export task from an environment, manipulare eventually variables and placeholders and import it in the new environment, but tags are missing in the exportTask APIs.
Please add assigned_tags, already present in the getTaskDetails API in the exportTask and importTask API in order to export and import full additional information related to the task.
I agree this would be a very nice feature to have built into Qlik Sense Enterprise out of the box.
As that's not the case (for now at least) I have created an alternate solution.
It's an open source tool called Ctrl-Q. The idea is to automate high-value use-cases that are difficult to achieve using other tools, or that are just plain boring/tedious/error prone to do manually.
The latest version (3.7, released today!) can export existing tasks (incl full task chains) into CSV or Excel files. It can also import apps from QVF files, coupled with creation of associated reload tasks. The tool is available in the form of Windows, macOS and Linux binaries.
Ctrl-Q can be used in several ways. One powerful scenario is to first export all task related info from one Sense environment, then edit that Excel file as needed. Import the same (or a variant of those) tasks into another Sense environment. If needed also import QVF files into that second Sense environment.
In addition to exporting/importing tasks and apps Ctrl-Q does a number of other things too, that's for another time though.. Check the docs page if interested.

Thank you for your suggestion. While we do not have plans to deliver this in the near future, we will keep the ideation open to possibly come back to it at a later date.
