For our connections to Azure services we use private endpoints, that can be addressed internally over an Azure Express Route.

For authentication to the Azure Active Directory (AAD) we need to use a proxy server to reach the public (internet) login.microsoftonline.com

In the Replicate endpoint for ADLS Gen 2 and Azure Synapse, the GUI advanced settings allow to enter proxy settings. However - we found that the configured proxy is used for both the AAD authentication as well as the connection to the storage account. We do not wish to use the proxy for the storage account, but only for the AAD connection. This is a hard requirement from our IT Security office. This feature is needed for our migration to the cloud and creating our Core Data Platform in the cloud. QLIK Replicate is a crucial building block to achieve this.
