QlikView supports this and it is a valuable feature, particularly when hyperlinking to external content. There is a dashboard I am working on where this is almost a show stopper.
Suggestions for implementation:
1) Automatically recognize anything that begins with http or https and hyperlink it.
2) Allow a clickable hyperlink to be defined as a dimension and/or measure using the QlikView format:
Display Text <url> hyperlink
3) Ensure that if the user clicks on a hyperlink, the content is opened in a new tab.
4) If the user exports a chart to PDF, the URL should be hyperlinked in the PDF as well.
Hello Kevin, just as a follow-up to this idea, this has been implemented in some form in the current table object available in Qlik Sense 2.2 and later. There is a setting where you can change the field to be represented as a URL:
Can we can have a click'able' functionality just like we have in an excel pivot?
For example I have a pivot for customer group 'X' corresponding to revenue then by clicking on that customer group should show me all the details of that customer in the base data
