Sharepoint / O365 Web Connector in QSB/QCS - Import Data from Files

Hi There

The SharePoint / O365  Connector in Qlik Sense Business / Qlik Cloud Services is missing the "Get File" functionality from QSE on Windows. I have raised this with Support (case ref 01992087) who acknowledged the feature gap and suggested posting on here.

Taking this one step further, as per @stevedark's suggestion on this post, SharePoint should be a native File Connector in all flavours of Qlik Sense. This would make it easy for Qlik to compete with other solutions in our space, allowing users to easily consume spreadsheets etc from SharePoint. This could be rolled forward to include OneDrive for Business.

Secondary rationale for this suggestion, is, if Qlik are truely going SaaS first, they need to be able to communicate with one of the largest SaaS players on the market, SharePoint/OneDrive/O365

Hi Carl,

It's interesting to note that if you force in a GetFile endpoint (by entering it in the FROM statement) the endpoint exists, it just doesn't do what you would hope it do. Not that I would condone such poking around, but I (like you) needed to get a job done.

Great to see that this has been picked up to be delivered. There are so many open threads on this feature being required on Community.

Look forward to seeing it arrive.

Thanks!

Hi guys - is there any update to this? Idea was changed to "on roadmap" in September of last year

The Office 365 SharePoint storage Provider Connector supports this, even in Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows since the May 2022 release.
