Switch script logging off

I have an app that loops through a REST connection 1000's of times. The log gets written with each iteration's load statement(s). It would be nice if a system variable could be provided that would allow sections of the log to have no logfile writing as a simple SET on/off operation.

Thank you for your feedback on ways to improve our product. While this is something we understand would be useful, it's not on the short-term roadmap. Please continue to show your support for this idea.

Fyi, here's how to set the logging for the REST connector

Thanks - this seems like an "all or nothing" approach. In an enterprise environment people may wish to configure logging in different ways depending upon specific use cases.

I also assume this is QSEoW only. A scripting solution as suggested would also work on SaaS.
