Establishing minimal best practice

Hello everyone,

I'm fairly new in Talend and i need to recreate several data feeds for a client from another ETL.

Before doing that i want to implement a few best practices so that when i leave there are processes and documentation in place.

The best practices i want to implement are :

- A reference project for context and metadata management ( I found on Talend Academy these 2 frameworks but i'm not sure how to implement both : Context Management Common Framework and Metadata Driven Framework)

- Error Handling

- Monitoring and logs

- Naming conventions

- Git branchs repos and branchs best Practices

I would love some help, I'm pretty stressed out because i want to do a good job.

Can anyone help with advice or maybe a reference project they use ?

I found great resources by @TalendSolutionExpert, @Jamie_Gregory and @Sonja_Bauernfeind on the community knowledge (Metadata driven Ingestion and Curate Framework in Talend and Talend Studio: Context Variables Management) that are of a lot of help but i would love some more "holding hands".

Thanks in advance

My suggestion would be to take your time. Start with the area of your house that is used most often and work out from there. There is no pressure to follow a timeline or checklist.

I found that making a list of the reasons why I wanted to have a more minimalist lifestyle was helpful! Ie. Save money, less clutter, quicker cleaning
