Cannot Save custome perspective

Hi
I'm having an issue with perspectives.
When I save a custom perspective or when I change a default one (ie: moving the components view from the right to the left), once I close and reopen Talend I cannot select my saved perspective and the default one I've changed is reverted to the default.
Where are perspective saved?
I'm on:
Talend Open Studio for Big Data
Version: 6.2.1
Thank you

Hi,
The default perspective are integration, Mediation, Profiling and MDM. What's your custom perspective?
Best regards

Hi,
I changed the default perspective "Integration" but when I close Talend and reopen it my changes are not preserved.

Same happens if I save the perspective (right click on the perspetives icon on the top right and click Save as...): when I close and reopen Talend the saved perspective is not there.

Thank you

Hi,
The default perspective (DI, ESB, DQ and MDM) structure is designed by talend.
You cannot save your change when re-open talend studio.

Hi,
so if I, for instance, move the Palette from the right to the left, close and reopen, the palette will be moved again to the right?
I see a different behaviour in Talend for Data Integration 6.2.1, it keeps the palette where I put it.

Hi,
So far, the palette return to the right at startup by default.
You can keep palette on the left side when using Talend for Data Integration 6.2.1 at every startup?
Best regards

Hi
I'm sorry, by bad -  also Talend for Data Integration reverts the Palette to the right - I gave you a wrong information.
However, getting back to part of the original topic, I cannot save a custom perspective. I do the following:
• Move the palette from right to the left

  • Save the Perspective as "Custom Perspective"

  • Make sure the custom perspective can be selected from the Open Perspective menu

  • Close Talend

  • Open Talend again

  • the "Custom Perspective" cannot be selected and is not visible from the Open Perspective menu

  • Is also this a designed behavior? A saved perspective persist only until Talend is closed?

    Thank you

    Hi,
It's a designed behavior. The default perspective (DI, ESB, DQ and MDM) structure will come back at every start up.
    Best regards

    Hi
the documentation at the Talend help page:
Saving the configuration of a perspective (chpt 1.4.2)
states that a saved perspective can be opened at any time:

    [...]
You can open this perspective any time by selecting it from the [Open Perspective] dialog box.
    [...]

    is the documentation wrong?

    Hi,
We made a testing on V 6.2.1.  The studio can save your custom perspective at startup.
Note: The default perspective (DI, ESB, DQ and MDM) structure will come back at every start up even you close them before.
    Best regards
    Sabrina
