Change remote engine key in Azure Managed Talend remote Engine (Linux)

How to change the remote engine key in Azure managed Talend Remote engine.

I tried to change in the file "preauthorized.key.cfg" and restart the engine. my previous key is back in the file.

Please advice. I want to re-pair the remote engine key with a new key

Hello,

Updating the file <Remote Engine Installation folder>/etc/preauthorized.key.cfg with the new key seems to be not enough.

To re-pair a Remote Engine, first be sure that the Engine in TMC is un-paired and a pairing key is available in the engine details.

Otherwise in the Remote Engine details click on RE-PAIR:

And then UNPAIR:

The Engine is now “Not paired”:

A new pairing key is available in the ENGINE DETAILS:

On Remote Engine server side, update the following files:

  • <Remote Engine Installation folder>/etc/preauthorized.key.cfg

Replace the old key with the new one:

remote.engine.pre.authorized.key =60496XXXXX50185E2E538895009A6310AED4B4CE42A7CDE36

  • <Remote Engine Installation folder>/etc/org.talend.ipaas.rt.pairing.agent.cfg

Remove the remote engine id:

remote.engine.id =

Restart the Remote Engine.

The remote engine is (re)paired:

Let us know if it works from your side.

Best regards
