Data load approach through direct DB connection VS Rest api

Hi Team,

We have to plan the approach to connect to DB.

Please suggest whether we should process data through Rest API to hit DB or else creating the direct DB connection in Talend Metadata.

Out of these which one is better for performance concern as we have data in some of the table in millions and we need process in batches.
