How the sas input component is used for?

The release notes says it is used for read data from SAS databases, but I want to know wheather it can be used to read data from SAS datasets?

I am looking at tSASInput and tSASOutput and they both require a SAS database (which I don't have). I do have a SAS dataset file that I would like to read and then turn around generate a SAS dataset as output.

How do I use tSASInput and tSASOutput for this purpose?
