How to download and edit the TDI source code ?

Hi everybody, I've just started with TDI and I want to know how to download and edit the Talend Open Studio for Data Integration

source code to adapt it to my my needs. As I said I'm a beginer so if someone can give me steps with links that would be nice. thank you !!

Hi,

    When you are saying to adapt to your needs by customizing the code, my guess is that you are looking to create custom code apart from usual components in Talend.

    You can use java components available in Talend like tJava, tJavarow or tJavaflex for this purpose. You can also create custom flow by creating java routines and embed to Talend jobs.

    If you want to hide the details behind the Talend GUI, you can create your own custom components also using Talend Component Kit.

   So it all depends on user case and the amount of depth you would like to go in Talend. Hope I answered your query
