Importing a job and updating it with local metadata

When we import jobs into our production environment, we always open them in the Studio in order to pick up the MySQL connection details. If we do not do this, it uses the MySQL connectiond details from the development environment which are in the job, rather than the repository metadata connection details, and fails to connect.

Is this the right way to go about it, or is there some way of getting it to automatically use the production environment metadata connection and not the cached copy in the job?

If not, and we need to continue opening and saving the jobs to pick up the production metadata details, is this something that we can do via commandline rather than studio, and if so what command should we use?

Hello,

Are you looking for reusable metadata in the repository for database connection?

The repository view is mostly replaced by the data catalog product.

Let us know if it is what you are looking for.
