I am trying to replace "\\nasv0048\uhccs_bi_reporting" in a string with "/app1/rundeck/cns_bi_workspace/shares/nasv0048-uhccs_bi_reporting"

Have you tried to use tReplaceList component? Which carries out a Search and Replace operation in the input columns defined based on an external lookup.
