Hello,
I want to load an Oracle table with an SDO_GEOMETRY column from a shape file.
I installed the Spatial Data Integrator extension.
I added the sdoapli and sdoutl jar (not found sdouti), I also copied in case the sdotype.jar file
I patched the mapping_oracle.xml files.
I still can't see the SDO_GEOMETRY type in my list of DB types, and I still can't insert my shape data.
Does anyone use SDI with ORACLE or have used it successfully?
All the posts I find are very old.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Vincent
Hello again,
When I try to edit the Oracle mapping type properties, I get the following message.
I saw it somewhere else, but I don't realy understand what to do.
The XML file seems to be OK.
Thanks for your help,
Vincent
On more information about the Oracle mapping file.
Even after a new installation, after having installed all the Oracle module with succes, I still can save an unmodified the mapping_Oracle.xml file.
I haven't made any thing on that file and I still have the previous error.
HELP, I need somebody help.
kind regards,
Vincent
Hello @Vincent Robine
Did you get this issue in V 7.1.1? Are you getting the same error in V 7.3.1?
Here is a related community knowledge about: https://community.talend.com/s/article/Changing-the-default-data-type-mapping-rGX5P

Hello Sabrina,
I work with the 7.1.1 because I haven't found the TOS-Spatial-7.3.1.
About the mapping, I do have the error with the original Oracle mapping file, without any changes. If you can test with the Oracle mapping file ?
Best regards,
Vincent
For any others also finding this, it doesn't look like 7.3.1 has been published. The setup is a mess.
The SDI github page directs to a sourceforge download page, with the latest version being 7.11.
The SDI github install page shows version 7.4.1 in the example config file edits (required to install)
The SDI github repo has what looks to be 7.3.1 present, but they are not versioned and it's not clear if any work needs to be done to build the plugins before dopping them into the Talend plugins directory.
