TAC and H2 - Cannot connect to database

I am unable to get the Talend Administration Centre to start correctly
When I go to its web interface, I am prompted for a password, after which is a database config and check interface.
The connection check reports:
Connection Cannot connect to database (Error opening database: "Could not save properties /opt/Talend-5.5.1/tac/apache-tomcat/webapps/org.talend.administrator/WEB-INF/database/talend_administrator.lock.db" )
I have tried to remove the lock file, but this makes no difference.
Any ideas on what I can try for fixing this?

It appears that the problem was a full disk.... clearing out a few GB or log files fixed it
