Talend Crash

Talend Crashes at several points in time. Sometimes it is after changing a tMap, but yesterday I also had it after the Welcome screen.
I'm now trying to use another installation.
My question: where can I find the log file of Talend. Because the crash doesn't report a warning or error, I would like to inspect a log file.
(I'm using Linux Ubuntu 10.04 and the latest version of Talend)
Thank you very much,
hsm
