Hello, 

I am interested in taking the Talend Data Integration Certified Developer Using Talend Studio Exam and I wonder : do we know witch version of Talend will be used for the exam ? and is there a way to have an access to it in the process of certification/preparation to the certification, before taking the exam ? 

If you have recently taken the certification I am particularly opened to advices !

The exam is based on Talend Data Integration v7.x (Talend Studio 7.x) concepts and features, and does not focus on Talend 8.x–specific changes.
 

Important Note:-

The exam is not limited to a specific minor version (such as 7.2 or 7.3). Instead, it evaluates core Talend Studio functionalities that remain consistent across all v7 versions.

Access to Talend Studio for Preparation:-

You can access Talend Studio without purchasing the exam, and you have multiple legitimate options, including:
 

Option A- Talend Open Studio for Data Integration (Free)

• Fully downloadable
• No license required
• Includes the same Studio interface and core components covered in the exam

This is explicitly recommended in official preparation material.
 

Option B- Qlik Talend Trial (Enterprise Studio)

• Time-limited trial (typically 14–30 days)
• Provides access to remote repositories, project management features, and enterprise-level functionalities
