Unable to add an external jar mysql-connector-java-5.0.1.30-bin.jar

We are using Talend Open Studiio 6.1.1. While trying to establish connection with MySQL DB, we were prompted to install the jar mysql-connector-java-5.0.1.30-bin.jar. We downloaded it and placed it in <StudioPath>/lib/java location. But still it didn't work. Please advice.

Those files will be automatically downloaded. Example, it will be like windows update. No need to separately download jar files and place it under studio folder.

Did you follow up documents  TalendHelpCenter:Identify required external modules and  TalendHelpCenter:Install external modules to install your external jar file?
What's the error message you are getting? Have you tried to restart your studio to see if it works?

Hi,
Currently our system is not connected to the internet, that was why we separately downloaded it.
Yes, we followed the steps as given in the above links.
On trying to open the path from the file browser, the dialog box should close and the selected module should have been installed in the library folder of the current Studio. But it doesn't close and is not getting installed.
The error message from the Error log is attached.
