reading UTF-16 XML file

How to read an XML file with UTF-16. I tried defining the metadata but it can't read the schema and gives an error saying incorrect format. When I try to run it gives an error saying Error on line 1 of document : Content is not allowed in prolog. Nested exception: Content is not allowed in prolog.

Hi,
There is a known bug about the creation ofUTF-16 XML file in metadata , so how about trying to use the tFileInputXML component and custom the encoding as "UTF-16". See the following screenshot.
