[resolved] Error when creating new Excel file in Metadata

Hi,
I want to create a new Excel file in the metadata.
When arriving on step 3 of 4, tab "Output" shows the error messages : 
"Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.
Preview error. Some settings must be changed.
Note: Preview errors are generally due to a wrong encoding setting.

The same happens when I try to create a delimited file.
Java on my Win7 machine is C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_71

Hi,
Did you install Talend in "Program Files" or any directory with a space or illegal character? If so, try moving it to one that does not contain a space. Such as: D:\talend\<version>\(Don't give a long name).

Yes, Talend was installed on c:\Program Files.
I moved (cut/paste) Talend to c:\Talend and tried again.
But it does not work :

It sounds there is an issue with the Java Virtual Machine, but I don't know what the messages exactly mean.

Hi,
What's the build version you are using? Did you execute a simple job successfully in it? Is it oracle JDK or Open JDK? Could you please show us your step 3 of 4 screenshots?

Version: 5.5.1
Build id: r118616-20140617-1110
No, I did not execute a simple job successfully yet.
JDK comes from Oracle website.

Hi,

Yes, Talend was installed on c:\Program Files.

Please reinstall Talend Studio in c:\Talend instead of moving Talend related folder. Make sure that there is no extra space or illegal character.

I installed Talend Studio 5.6 on c:\Talend.
Now it works ok.
