[resolved] Problem with using existing connection (oracle)

Hi,
I have a similar issue as posted by Jijli early today.  Table truncated but no data inserted.  I have a simple job:

tOracleconnection_1 -  property type, repository.  Use or register a shared DB connection box check, and shared name entered.
tFileInputPositional_1 -  pick up a fixed width text file with repository schema applied. limited 50 rows
tOracleOutput_1 -  used an existing connection box checked.  component list "tOracleconnection_1" in yellow color.  Action on table - truncate, action on data- insert, schema-repository, die on error box checked.  Dynamic setting, component list and tOracleConnection_1.

I ran it with no errors.  I check the oracle table truncated but no data inserted.  It works fine without using an existing connection.

Please help.
Thanks
Andy

Hi,
Use or register a shared DB connection box check, and shared name entered.

Did you want to share your connection or fetch a connection shared by a parent or child Job? This option allows you to share one single DB connection among several DB connection components from different Job levels that can be either parent or child.
Could you please show us your job design screenshot?

Best regards

as you can see the jpg.  tOracleOutput_1 truncated the table but no data inserted.  It's using the connection defined in tOracleconnection_1.

Hi andrew.tan,

Can you upload again the screenshots you wanted to show, please? For some reason it didn't make it to your post.
Note: screenshots works only if you drag&drop the image directly in the editor window.

Best regards
Sabrina

Sorry for the delay.  Please have a look at the design below.   The one on the right is duplicate.

The part that I need help with is the tOracleOutput_1.  It truncated the table but no data inserted, the 50 rows from tFileInputPositional_1.

Data finally got inserted to the tables.  I have attached 2 images from 2 different jobs.  One with OracleCommit and one with OracleClose.
